Browse All TopicsI have an issue with Yast2 running on OpenSuse 10.2. (Kernel version 2.6.18.2-34-default) (KDE Version 3.5.5 release 45)
I tried to install my Epson Stylus Photo R360, but I couldn't find the correct PPD file for it. So I used a PPD for an Epson R300. This meant that no actual ink would print on any sheets (lots of blank sheets went through the printer, and the cancel button wouldn't stop it) - so I shut the printer off during a test printing job.
The next day, I tried to get it configured with Yast2 again - but even after two reboots, I would start the printer configuration tool, but a smaller window appears with the following:
"The list of installed drivers has changed"
"Building database of drivers"
It hangs on 4% - and never gets anywhere.
Does anyone know how I can delete the printer driver database and recreate it? - (Or have another idea of how to fix this particular problem?)
