z/OS Performance Tunning

I have been tasked to come up with a performance management report for bank mainframe system based on statistics that have:CPU Usage,Application Response Time,I/O Rate,Disk I/O Rate for two runs. Based on these, could you please tell me how you note things like bottlenecks , optimized workload distribution and any other capacity building statistics that could be of managerial significance?

How much experience do you have with z/OS and performance reporting and capacity planning?

What reporting tools do you have?

You mention both "application response time" and for "two runs".  Typically in the z/OS world when the word "runs" is used it refers to batch jobs and "application response time" means online/interactive applications.  Is this for batch or online.  If online, what do you mean by two runs?

Thank you for the response. I don't have any industrial experience with mainframes as yet.I have attached the remaining material that my make my original question clearer. Please let me no if theres need for further clarrification

Is this for a real life job?  If so, run, run as fast as you can away from this.  Without any mainframe experience this would be like asking me to review a program written in C to improve its performance (the only thing I know about C is that it is the 3rd letter of the alphabet).

This really looks like it is for a class.  If it is for a class, we need to know.  We can't answer the question for you, but we can point in and guide you, although this level of guidance for z/OS means that you need to have a good understanding of z/OS to start with.

If this is for a class, what experience do you have with z/OS?  If not, what experience do you have with capacity planning and performance measurements and on what platforms (hardware and software)?
