Read write access to the folder?
I bet that the share is set for read access only, hence asking for a password for write access, which will obviously fail?
Edit share properties as appropriate:)

I have 2 computers in a network with windows xp pro and im trying to remote access a shared resource in pc2.Now if in pc2 is a shared folder (sharedfolder) i make copy c:\myfile.exe \\pc2ip\sharedfolder and the file is copied and every thing ok but now if i do copy c:\myfile.exe \\pc2ip\C$ it will ask me the username and password, i put there my username:Administrator and my password:***** and it allways tells me that username or password is wrong and im 100% sure that they are right. This happens connecting from pc1 to pc2 and from pc2 to pc1.
If you know what can be the problem please tell me
Thanx

It's the administrator of the remote machine you need password for, not the local, and not the domain.
Did you physically go to \\pc2ip and change the administrator password there? If you can't do that then you need to get your network administrator involved.
C$ is a built in administrative share open only to system and administrative use by default. You will not be able to read or write to it without the other machine's admin rights.
It's far better to create a share for what you need and give access to it, as you did for \\pc2ip\sharedfolder.
If you need system access to write to a non-shared folder through the administrative share, you're better off running the command remotely, and that's another security issue entirely.

K_2K i physically changed the password in pc2 (Im administrator in the 2 pcs).
I know that C$ and admin$ are shares that open only to system and administrative but i have total rights in both machines.
My main objective is to know why i cant login to c$ or admin$ to transfer the file if i have total rights in both machines.
K_2K what do you mean with "you're better off running the command remotely, and that's another security issue entirely" sorry but my english is not very good

Try username:pc2ip\Administrat or and the password there.
If that doesn't do it log onto pc2ip locally and change the administrator password. Then change it back if you wish. This should syncronize the SAM files with the MMI.
Actually, my best advice is to make a new folder and share name for each item you need and don't use the built in administrative share C$ but that advice doesn't help the question.
