Printing from DOS Command Line

Asked by rrudolph in MS DOS, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Tags: , , , ,

I need to be able to print to a Windows Printer (connected by USB) using the command line. I'm getting an error trying to do this. This is my example:

I type in:

print /D:QL550 test.jpg

I receive this message:

Unable to initialize device QL550

QL550 is a valid printer name

I have also trie to print to a different printer with the same results.

I am running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2Start Free Trial
