My computer crashed? I had all the updates including SP2 on my computer. However, for some reason my computer would not not let me boot the computer; not even in safe mode so that I could access administrator. Completely frustrated, I reinstalled Windows XP with SP1, leaving the directory structure. I did not format the HD as I needed many files that I couldn't access. I got everything up and working well.
However, now when I try to re-install SP2, I get a "redundancy error." I assume that this is because of some files or folders that are still on my HD.
I would appreciate any workable solution to resolving my problem of re-installing SP2.
