A co-worker of mine has this problem. All of a sudden, he can no longer get onto Google.com. Instead, he gets a blank white page. The status bar will still say "done" (which is what it says whenever a page succesfully loads). He can still access other web pages. He uses Internet Explorer 7. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Look in his hosts file and check to make sure google is not blocked, in case a virus has modified the hosts file to block certain websites.
Windows Vista = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVER
Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVER
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\

What happens if you try to access Google with different urls? like
http://google.com
http://www.google.co.uk/
http://news.google.com/
Open up a command shell and run a trace route with "tracert www.google.com" and see where you end up.
Try switching DNS and see what happens.
Sounds like someone has played around with the hosts file.
Try to access Google.com IP Address in your address bar.
http://64.233.187.99/
If that works you should check your dns. If that doesnt work somone is blocking google on a firewall. could be software of hardware.

There may have been a malformed page that was successfully cached, so he's getting it from the cache instead of from Google. Try forcing a refresh with <ctrl>+<F5>.
It may also be hijacked, but I'd doubt it would be replaced with a blank page. Try scanning for spyware et.al.
