1 Exchange Box and 2 Domains

Hello everyone I have 1 domain configured with an exchange 2003 server running. I need to create email boxes for a second  AD domain using the same email domain. I have successfully setup 2 way trust relationships between both domains. Should I run domain prep and forest prep from the DC that I want to integrate to the exchange server.

Why would you think that you don't need to run prep?
If this is a separate forest then whatever you have done in the other domain doesn't matter. Trusts are for authentication only. Two Exchange orgs cannot trust each other and exchange information without the use of additional software.

What your problem is going to be is how to share the SMTP domain between two independent domains. Have you thought about how you are going to do that?

This is why I am asking the question. If I knew how to do it I would not bother anyone. So what do you suggest I just set them up and have them authenticate on the exchange box everytime they login???

Will try and post results tomorrow. Thank You!
If you have multiple domains in the same forest (I know this is not the case here), then a single Exchange server can host mailboxes for users in all the domains.

Where domains are in separate forests, user accounts must be duplicated such that for any user account that is NOT in the same forest as the Exchange server, an additional user account must be created in a domain in the same forest. It's a bit messy.
