Experts,
Please can you help!
I ran into problems when I removed some software from my system. My windows xp pro became corrupt and my system would not boot up. In the end I had to reinstall windows on a different partition.
My previous windows xp pro is still there, but I would like my new xp installation to 'move' the previously installed apps and documents to my 'newer' installation (Hope this makes sense!).
I am a student and have been able to get a new windows xp pro disk for free, which is different to my 'older' and 'corrupt' installation. I would like to uncover the 'old' product key which I need to enter when I boot up from the 'old corrupted' windows xp pro.
I can boot to my 'new' windows xp pro but I would like to 'move' my apps and data to my new windows so that I can delete my old version.
Is this possible please?
I am going mad trying to find this out! :)
Thanks.
