Unable to access shard folders

Asked by billrush2 in Microsoft Operating Systems, Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

I have an XP SP2 machine operating in a 6 machine peer - peer environment.  One of the PC's began to have a hard drive failure and I was able to save it by creating a disk image before it completely died.  After loading the image on the new hard drive, I am now unable to access a few shared folders from other PC's on the LAN.  Perms are set wide open yet I get "unable to access ..." when trying to access these shared folders from other PC's on the LAN.  I have toggled the shared setting and also tried to share other folders (new ones) w/o success.  Seems like maybe a little registry damage from the failing hard drive??

Thx,
