Browse All TopicsI have been logging into a client's computer remotely for the last year from a Vista machine in my office. Today when I tried to login, it starts to connect, I get the remote (initial) screen which starts to paint - but then stops. It appears to freeze, but then gives me an error that the remote session has been disconnected. I have tried minimizing requirement settings for the screen on my end but no change. The program itself appears to be working - and nothing on their end has changed to my knowledge. As far as I know their Server is still up and running just fine. We do not even install Critical Updates on the Server automatically but do them on a schedule, so I don't think that's related. However, my Vista machine is updated regularly.
Any suggestions?

Are you connecting FROM the same site as usual? D-FAQ.htm# q1
This is a common problem with Vista and Remote Desktop and an incompatibility with some routers. In may cases the solution is to upgrade the firmware on the router.
However if you have been connecting from this site in the past it is not likely the issue. Perahaps have a look at these options:
