Control cannot be opened

I am trying to unistall one of my burning cd software but when i clicked on control panal, it opened for one minute then all icon apeared abnormal (no image of icon just fram and dots inside) then suddenly the error messege "windows encounter an error and has to be shut down" then familiar pop up box saying send or dont send error. recently i reinstalled window xp repair option and i notice that duting reinstallation of windows xp an error messege came saying unable to find documentviewer.msi. i then locate 2 files using windows cleanup utility and removed them. is this the cause and how to repair it and repair control panen.

Appwiz.cpl is the name of the Control Panel applet which allows you to manage programs, a.k.a. the Add/Remove Programs dialog box. You can run it by open Run from the start menu, entering appwiz.cpl and pressing OK.

yes i tried the above solution and it worked fine and cough remove software. but is there any solution how to repair control panel error which always shut the screen because of error thanks

Try running Dial-a-fix (http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix#Mirrors.2Fdownload_locations.2C_and_articles). Open it, check all checkboxes under the "Registration center" section and click "GO". Also, try running:
sfc /scannow
