Can't find the irpstacksize parameter in registry

Asked by alacasse in Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

I got this error in the Event Viewer when I try to share a folder on external hard drive.

The server's configuration parameter "irpstacksize" is too small for the server to use a local device.  Please increase the value of this parameter.

I open the regedit and try to find this key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters\

But the parameter "irpstacksize" don't exist. How to correct this error.

Thanks
