We have 5 Exchange 2007 servers installed in our 2003 environment. Two of them are a two node CCR Cluster. I am confused about the security model for Exchange 2007. Can someone tell me if all the delegations I added over the years for Exchange 2003 at the Org level carry over to Exchange 2007 also. Reason I ask is when in the EMC, when I click on the Organization, I see different permissions than I do in Exchange 2007. I am really confused. Also, I noticed that it puts all the security groups in our Forest root even though Exchange is installed in the child Domain. Lastly, if I add any users or groups using the EMC in 2007, or, if I add users to the new Exchange 2007 security groups, do these permissions apply to 2003 as well or are they just for 2007?
