How to I keep my desktop icons from going crazy when I remove laptop from docking station?

I have my laptop inserted into a docking station at work and have organized my desktop icons in a certain order, however, when I remove the laptop from the docking station and use it on its own the icon order gets scrambled all over the place.  How can I keep my icon layout consistent between both environments?Start Free Trial
