Software library totally messed up:

Asked by ChiefIT in Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP Operating System

Tags: inherit a domain and recieve their fopars

I inhereted a new domain and the fopars that came with it.

The old domain administrator passed off a software library that is all messed up. All software is legitamite. I want to sort out OS and MS Office, for now. Then I will attack Acrobat and DVD burning software.

I have software that can get the license keys from the computers. (No problem)
I have the original packages with license keys on them.
I have unlabled original CDs without any idea of what CD goes to what package or computer.

The only way that I can see is to put one CD at a time in a junk machine and try one key at a time for that OS disk.

Is there a less painful way to match a CD to a license key and computer?
Or would Microsoft take these CDs and put licenses on my volume license disks in return at a nominal M$ fee?
