Group Policy not being applied

Hi there

I have created a group policy to redirect My Document folder for a test user to a home directory.
I have created a OU for testing and add a user to that OU. Using Group Policy Management I have set up a group policy to be applied on that OU to redirect My Document folder to that user home directory using the option setting Basic (redirect everyones folder to the same location). It did not work.
The user is running Windows XP; the Server is Windows 2000 Server. When I do the gpresult command I can see that the group policy is applied for the user settings but the location of my document still points to the C:\Documents and Settings.
When I try to save a document in word I see the Documents and Settings folder underneath my network places.

Can anyone please help me? What I am doing wrong.

Thanks
