The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Error message "Entertainment Pack Minesweeper Game" when access mapped network drive on Windows Server & clients

Hi,

Getting message:

"Entertainment Pack Minesweeper Game encountered a problem and needed to close" while trying to map network drive located on the server (please look at attached screenshot). It is small network with about 30 computers and 3 servers (one is DC, other two database and backup). All servers Windows 2003 with all updates/hotfixes.

I did notice also that if you open My Computer and double-click on the mapped network drive icon it will either not open or will generate the above error message. I can browse content of network drives without any problem if I enable Folders tree pane in Windows Explorer.

I  do see the same message on Windows XP Pro based machines and on both Windows 2003 Std servers.

All servers were recently upgraded from Windows 2000 Server without a single error. About two weeks ago we got virus on one of desktops and file antivirus on one of the servers user was connected to detected and cleaned up about 20 files infected with W32.Sality.AE. I was trying to clean up users computer at that time but ended up formatting his drive and installing the system from scratch. Not sure is this virus accident related to problem or not as I don't know actually when the problem with error message came up for first time.

All computers has Norton Antivirus Corporate installed, incl. servers. I ran Kaspersky online scan on server which was involved in virus accident in the past but did not find anything wrong. I ran antivirus checks on multiple workstations using different antivirus programs without any positive result. I am still suspicious that it is maybe somehow related to virus infection 2 weeks ago but can't find any information about it and can't detect it.

Any suggestions?

Thank you
