Question

What is Groove Folder Synchronization?

Asked by: sidhunan

When working in a Window environment eg  XP/SP3  the   Groove Folder Synchronization icon is appearing. Which is unables me to copy the multiple file from the USB pen drive it say the file exists
which I am not even to overwrite my file from the USB pen drive.

I feel this Groove Folder Synchronization is stopping my job and even not able to remove this program. Is it a third party program or a part of the XP/SP3.

Please guide me how to remove this  Groove Folder Synchronization ?

Microsoft Groove is an application that may have been installed as part of the Microsoft Office 2007 suite.

Groove allows you to have files synchronized across multiple PCs.... even across the Internet. It allows you to create workspaces that are shared between users, and encrypts traffic between your machine and another machine (or group of machines) where you want to sync the data. Make a change on any one of them, and the change is distributed to the others.

There are also other applications that can be shared like calendars, notepads, and others.

If you want to remove it. Try going to add/remove programs and select Microsoft Office 2007. Then instead of completely removing it, try to do a modify and see if it allows you to unselect Groove.
