Browse All TopicsI have successfully created three VMs in Hyper-V running on the same server and they are all running without issue. The Winsows 2008 server has over 700GB disk space and 16GB RAM of which only 13GB RAM and less than 400GB disk space have been allocated.
I created a fourth VM today with a unique name and received the following errors when I tried to start it. All the research I've done points back to having two VMs / VHDs with the same name but this is absolutely not the case. I have deleted the VM and VHD twice and recreated under different names and continue to get the same errors.
'NDUT' failed to start.
Microsoft Emulated IDE Controller (Instance ID...: Failed to power on with Error 'The process cannot access the file becasue it is being used by another process.
Filaed to open attachment 'E:'. Error: 'The process cannot access the file becasue it is beingg used by another process."
Any ideas?
