Hi, I have a daily backup job setup on a win2003 server - this works well except the ntbackup screen goes away after it is done. I would like it to stay up so it is the first thing I see when going to the server. Thanks

The /l:f switch only populates the log file with more data.
I need the ntbackup window to stay open after the scheduled "Daily Backup" task finishes so the results can be visible when the user logs in. I don't want to display the log file via a script, because the person checking to see if the backup was complete would have no idea how to read the log.
Does anyone know how I can force the ntbackup window to stay open??
When the task runs in unattended mode, the whole point is for it to exit upon completion. You could require that the user be logged in for the task to run.
In your request, what happens if the user does not login for two weeks, you will have mulitple instances of ntbackup hanging around with their "reports"
Why not setup a script that will get the added data from the log and email it to you?

You can add the log option /l:f (Full log).
