Browse All TopicsIf I click on an Excel icon, it takes over 60 seconds to open. If I click again, it opens immediately. Office 2007.
It's a very simple problem to describe.
I don't know how to fix it.
It started suddenty. Before all was fine.
Guesses: Somehow related to me also having OpenOffice on this PC.
Somehow related to an earlier problem wherein I had a very-sick Excel spreadsheet. We spend a long time trying to fix it. We all gave up. (That's when I needed OpenOffice.
Ideas:
Uninstall Office. Reinstall.
Uninstall OpenOffice as a test.
Both of these ideas are a bit of a pain - especially the first one.

likewise i found adding the add in lookup wizard seems to have fixed this fault..
Thanks ReDrumKey. This is a PITA MicroSoft bug. I wouldn't have dreamed I'd find a solution so easy. GOOD JOB. Thanks
