When I click on Internet Explorer it takes about 10-15 seconds to load and appear. This was not the case initially. It is also doing this on another PC in my hose. Same XP but AVG virus.
Have tried to re-register (regsvr32 actxprxy.dll) but no difference. Does the same when I start with no add ons!

Disable all addons and try to start it then. Or try to load Internet Explorer without addons (Acccessories->System Tools->IE without addons).
.
It might be worth checking for malware with SuperAntiSpyware (www.superantispyware.com)
Hope it helps.
