In my experiance if you have a wireless profile set up in windows zero configuration and it is set to automatic you are connected before logon Vista offers the same capabilities

If you use a pre-shared key with XP you connect before authentication.  Vista fixed this.

I'm looking through Vista services right now and cannot find it.

Vista doesn't use Wireless Zero Configuration service.

OK...Do you see what I'm trying to accomplish? We need to have the wireless card active before logon, to authenticate with Active Directory before logging into the domain. Am i approaching it from the right angle, or is there a better way?

If you're using XP you'll need to use a pre-shared key when you configure the client.  This will give you the network connection before the login prompt appears so you can log in to the domain.

1. How do I do this.
2. Does vista do it automatically?
