WIndows explorer does not appear when I do what you said.

Browse All TopicsI'm using Windows XP pro on a PC. I have a folder in My Documents. When I open it, no files appear at all. Yet when I right click and hit properties, it shows dozens of folders and hundreds of files. How do I make these appear?

Try this:
1. Goto: Start > My Computer.
2. Goto: Tools (menu) > Folder Options > View.
3. Under 'Hidden Files and Folders' select the radio button: "Show hidden files and folders".
4. Two items down from the selection made in step 3, uncheck the box "Hide protected operating system files".
5. At the top of the window, click "Apply to All Folders".
6. Check the directory again

To see hidden files:
1.
On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.
Click the View tab.
3.
Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
Note To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
