Windows 7 Print Spooler Stops

I have a Win 7 Professional 64-bit laptop that I use i three different offices with three different printers.  I have installed all the windows updates and made sure all the drivers are up to date.

Indepndent of what I do or where I am, the Windows print spooler stops.  I can restart it and restore the ability to print.  I can go for days without a stop, or it can stop every five minutes.

I've tried several 'cures' from the internet but the problem always returns.

Please help

Check which user is actually running the Print Spooler service.

Find spoolsv.exe.

Go to properties, security, advanced, owner.

Make sure you are the owner, with full rights

ASKER

OK, I am the admin and I made the owner, changed the properties to full control.  I've stopped and restarted the print spooler.

Only time will tell.

Several weeks have passed.  The PC was shutdown restarted, several printer issues were resolved , but the spoolsrv problem never recurred.  Thanks for fixing a major annoyance!
