Windows Server 2012 Standard, Cannot add second external hard drive to backup schedule

Hello

I am having a problem to add a second external USB hard drive to Windows Server Backup on Windows 2012 Server.  All goes well in die GUI Windows Schedule Wizard, but when the drive is busy to format, then the Wizard displays an error message:

The system cannot find the path specified

We have also tried using WBADMIN command line tool

WBADMIN ENABLE BACKUP -addtarget:{aa123d14-bba0-1dd9-0d93-80aaaa6bbb63}

But still got the same error message.

Please help to sort out this issue

Thank you for the reply.  I believe the best I can do in this situation, is to delete and recreate the backup job so that my backups can run.  I will have access to the first drive on Friday and will then try to add both external hard drives.

I do not like the idea that you have to have all your external hard drives when configuring your backup.  What if you want to add 6 external drives to your backup, but only have 4x USB ports on your server?

I will keep you updated on the situation.  Probably by Friday this situation will be solved.
"What if you want to add 6 external drives": I suspect that you would use a USB hub temporarily.

There are a few shortcomings in Windows Server Backup, this being one of them.  Overall, I still find it to be a reasonable program, especially for the price!  There are better ones out there if you want to spend money.
When both drives are present when configuring your backup, you will be able to set up the backup flawlessly and then your offsite backups work.  When I did the wizard with both drives attached, no error was present in the wizard.  Something to get used to in Windows 2012 Server Standard.

As of July 10, 2013, this is no longer correct.  Here is the fix.  You are welcome!

Wonder if we will get any points out of this.  :)
