Blocking blocking incredimail social connector and other types

Does or has any one dealt with blocking incredimail social connector and other types. These features are built in to the app. and can't seem to figure out how to filter.

The easiest way is at the DNS level
netstat -a will show you where it is trying to connect and then in your DNS or hosts file set them to 127.0.0.1.. you could try opendns and set your forwarders to 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220

Set what, what is this IP, port for FB Chat or URL for chat? I have Facebook block from browser access. The application Incredimail, has a built in Facebook connector.
Start run
Notepad c:\widows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
The trailing . Is important
Adding entries with fake up addresses, like loopback as suggested, stops all applications accessing that site.  I use it to reduce adverts on web pages.
What virus software do you have? If you have one that you manage from a central location--set the settings for all the PCs at one place--then you can add that .exe to the blocked (in the firewall settings). If you don't have a one you have a central Admin for then you would have to it system by system. You can also use Windows firewall to block it. Either way you can block and exe or an exe and specific port numbers. Will then work for you? Let us know what virus software you have.

atheist: I would like to be able to manage this without mod of Host file, IF I can.

lionelmm: We are us Trend Micro Worry Free Business advanced edition. I just don't know what to blocked, as the e-mail app Incredimail has this Facebook Chat Connector built into it. If I knew the workings of the connector, like .exe or port, I would have locked that down long ago.
I'm not familiar with Trend Micro Worry Free Business advanced edition but does it use a "trusted" database for allowing apps? Either way you should be able to look at either the database or the allowed apps in the firewall. Then its just up to finding the port for the connector.

"Then its just up to finding the port for the connector." this is my problem. I have googled, searched, looked on incredimail site.

Today, no incredimail links work, so I can't look there.

No, my client has an employee using incredimail, which has the Facebook connector in it and they are able to chat, etc. I have blocked all access to Social Media sites but not figured out how to block this connector.

I configured to try to block the connector via the IMOLPlg.dll but had not had a chance to sit at this machine to see if it worked or not. As far I'm concerned the boss should just go to the employee and tell'em we are using this e-mail client and nothing else but I'm just IT support.
