Thanks for the link but is there a way to configure this without messing with the registry, i.e. logging in locally or group policy. As it appears to be one user affected, &nbsp;would temporally giving the elevated domain permissions and then changing the the file association, then setting the permissions again ??

I need all users on my terminal server to be able to associate file types through My computer - tools - folder options - file types - opens with - 'change'. For some users this option is greyed out. A certain program has to be associated.<br />

Would logging in locally as the local admin and changing the file association effect everyone? Or do I need to set something in Group Policy???
