2008 server printer driver install

Looking for a best practice for installing a driver on a windows 2008 64 bit server. I have a color HP 451nw printer. Windows 7 PCs will connect to the print server to print. Do you use the latest 2008 server from HP? PCL 6 or not. What is most stable. Am I supposed to download and install the Windows 7 driver instead?

The UPD is an interesting choice because the key for me is stability. I can't stand when the print spooler crashes and I have users complaining they can't print. I was wondering about this new color laserjet and if the UPD would print in color, or if it would need the full driver. Thanks. I will test it out.

I have 2008 R2 print server, and all my clients use Windows 7 x64 mainly and still have a few 32but windows 7 and xp machines running. I have numerous HP printers such as 6500's and Laserjet m551 500's on my network and i will always download OS specific drivers and use UPDs if these fail!
