Well, this will work.
However, you shouldn't assign access to shares directly by users for this reason.
You should
1. Create the share(s).
2. Create a group.
3. Add users to the group.
4. Give the Group access to the share(s).
So, share the printer. Create a group called (for instance) "Printer users". Give the group access to the printer. Put all of your users (user1 and user 2) into that group. .
Then, create the folder you want to share. (folder1) Then create a group for that share (folder1users).
Give the group (folder1users) permission to the share. Add the users you want to access that share (user2) to the group (folder1users).
