JAVA MSI via Grouppolicy using Advanced Installer

Hi

I am a complete noob at this but here goes:

I am trying to construct an MSI file to install Java 1.5.9 using GP. I have managed to exact the msi from the Java exe and have started a project using Advanced Installer. I then add the msi file to the project and construct an MSI to run in order to install the Java Runtime environment.

This hasn't worked and all i seem to be doing is copying the orginal extracted msi to the desicnated install folder on the target computer without any installing taking place.

Am i way off, should i be using the installed files rather then the first extracted msi?

I then wish to configure some parametres in order to disable system tray icon, updates etc.

any help would be great, thanksStart Free Trial
