Child Domain or only a Addition Domain Controller?

Asked by solonetwork in Windows 2000 Server, Active Directory

Tags: controller, child

Recently my company bought a new firm and now I need to integrate the network. In my headquarter I have 2 DCs (Windows 2000 server), one Exchange 2000 enterprise and 350 desktops. I am planning connect the new company via 512 Kb WAN Link and install 2 Windows server 2003 - a new DC (new site) and a new file server (email will be provide by the exchange server in the headquarter).  I have a doubt, if best choise is configure a child domain or only a addittion domain controller.

Details: in the new company I have 37 desktops (Windows XP PRO) and nobody for IT administration.Start Free Trial
