Network card loses static ip address

I have a Windows 2000 Server SP4 that loses the static ip information.  I have set this, then when I go back to it, the gui shows 'Obtain ip automatically'.  When running ipconfig/all it show DHCP set to NO.  When I rebooted last time, it came up with a 169.x.x.x ip.  I tried reinstalling TCP/IP and restarting, but still get the same problem.  Even stranger, there is another Windows 2000 server on the network with the same problem.  They don't change because they are always on, but how else can I force them to stay put?Start Free Trial
