W2k + SQL Server 2000 + McAfee 8.0i - System Process eating up 99% of CPU

Can anyone help me identify why the System process on a W2k server with SQL 2000 would be up at 99-100% all the time...even right after reboot.

It has McAfee 8.0i and is missing about 23 Windows updates...but I killed McAfee and Network Associates frame package and processes and it's still at 100%.  The only other thing the the Run key in the registry hive is the HP Network teaming entry.

Is there any way to see what is hiding under the Process name and using it up?
