Adding Windows XP Printer Driver to Windows 2000 Server

Asked by Systemsshop in Windows 2000 Server, Printers & Scanners, Drivers

I recently added a WIndows XP machine to a small network workgroup (not domain) - all the other workstations are Windows 2000.  The server is running WIndows 2000 Server.  There is a Laserjet 4100 which as mapped from the server.  The server does not have print drivers for Windows XP.  The new workstation recognizes the printer and can print to it BUT it does not recognize the additional trays, envelope feeder etc.  I have downloaded the proper driver from the HP website and installed it on the sever, but the list of available drivers on the server still does not show Windws XP as an option.  How do I get the XP driver to install as an option on the W2K server?Start Free Trial
