Need to replaced RAID controller without reinstalling the OS

We have a new Dell PowerEdge 2950 server. Currently we are using the PERC 6/i RAID controller card the system came with. However after several errors were reported in the logs, we contacted Dell only to find out the controller card does not support Windows 2000. Instead of upgrading the OS, we decided to purchase a card that supports Windows 2000. What we want to do is install the new card and transfer our RAID 5 array to boot off of the new card?
