Change Printer IP Address

Asked by yonbret in Windows 2000 Server, Printers & Scanners, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

I have a couple of printers that I need to change the IP Address. The printers are on a Windows 2000 Server Print Server. They are connected by IP Address. The printers are Lexmark T640 and T630 printers.

I have found some available IP Addresses on the same VLAN and I thought it was as simple as creating a new port, assigning the available IP Address to the new port and then changing the checkmark so that the printer uses the new IP port.

This is not working.
