Backup Error - An inconsistency was encoutered on the tape in Drive 1. Do not append to this tape

We have scheduled task script that will:

1. Do a file copy from the DB to a NAS.
2. Once the above is completed Windows NTBackup is launched and writes to DLT tape.

We constantly get the error message on the front end "Backup Error - An inconsistency was encoutered on the tape in Drive 1. Do not append to this tape"

The DLT tapes are only a few months old and we have also cleaned the drive with a cleaning tape. I know this is an ancient version of NTBackup under Windows NT 4 but we have to get this backup working somehow.Start Free Trial
