I have a batch file that sets up share folders for new faculty and staff. It basically creates a share drive and 3 subfolders with appropriate permissions. This was created before my time and uses fileacl.exe. I understand batch files, but I am clueless when setting folder permissions this way. I am currently interested in modifying the drop box permissiions. Currently students cannot open the drop box folder, they just drop their work into it. Now, we want to ocreate 6 sub folders under the drop box folder, kids can now click into the drop boxes, but not into the 6 sub folders(which is what we want), and they can simply drop their stuff in. From windows i can do this easily but multiply that by 140 faculty members.
