Cannot log into computer - virtual memory low
Zones: Memory Boosters, Windows 2000 Server
Tags: Microsoft, Windows Server, 2003, Your system is low on virtual memory
I have a server that is in bad shape. I cannot log into windows normally nor in safe mode. The error I receive is "Your system is low on virtual memory. To ensure that Windows runs properly, increase the size of your virtual memory paging file." This is great, but I can't get into WIndows to increase the paging file!

 Any suggestions?

Normally you should be able to boot into either of those modes even if there is no pagefile available. I think you have another problem, possibly to do with hardware. Test your RAM using memtest86+. Also test your disks, if possible using the manufacturer's utility. You'll find both tools on the UBCD.
