COM+ Event System failed to create an instance...

Receiving a repeated warning in the event log rotating the same message.  Will receive one then 5 minutes later another then 15 minutes later, then 5 minnutes, then 15 minutes later, etc.

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: EventSystem
Event Category: (52)
Event ID: 4356
Date: 9/18/2002
Time: 12:16:35 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TestBox
Description: The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
partition:{41E90F3E-56C1-4633-81C3-6E8BAC8BDD70}!new:{42EB8D03-5548-4667-A2A4-73395F61 BDC8}. CoGetObject returned HRESULT 80070057.

This is the same error as MS KB 331697, which has not solution.  Also checked out all links from eventid.net and could not find a solution.  I think after checking this GUID that it is related to an SMS install.  This is a test server and currently does not host any other MS apps and does not do perform any daily tasks.  Any help would be great.  I prefer a real solution, rather then a few "cut and paste" answers.

Here is the full detail, the above deatil is incorrect:

The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber {C2F23AE4-82D8-456F-A4AF-A2655D8CA726}.  StandardCreateInstance returned HRESULT 8000401A.
Since, according to the KB article, this has to do with the Message Queuing Service have you tried to remove and reinstall the Queuing service via Add/Remove Windows Components/Application Server?
no, will try and let you know.
i don't have message queuing installed.  i renstalled the COM+ and the associtated extras, but i still get the warnings.
after installing message queuing i still received the error
i stopped the SMS client service and haven't seen this warning appear again. i have found that our SMS server is not running ok and that could be the issue since it cannot connect. once our SMS is up again i will restart the service and see if it still issues warnings.
sounds like you're on the right track :-)
OK by me!
