The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Windows 2003 SBS Web Page Setup for External Use

Asked by jaguarpriest in Windows 2003 Server

Tags: ns, among, defined, 2003, windows

Hello all, here is the quick and dirty. I've created a webpage for a client and can not access it through SBS2003 from the outside. I've have the following setup:
1 Domain
1 SBS server
2 File Servers

I seem to have DNS problems.
Using services like : www.dnsreport.com and www.checkdns.net it shows that Name server answers but get errors that I'm having a difficult time deciphering. Here is a cut and paste from www.checkdns.net

CheckDNS.NET is testing emailkb.com

CheckDNS.NET is asking root servers about authoritative NS for domain
Got DNS list for 'emailkb.com' from a.gtld-servers.net

Found NS record: ns1.emailkb.com[64.169.245.115], was resolved to IP address by a.gtld-servers.net
Found NS record: ns2.emailkb.com[64.169.245.115], was resolved to IP address by a.gtld-servers.net
  Domain has 2 DNS server(s)

CheckDNS.NET is verifying if NS are alive
DNS server ns1.emailkb.com[64.169.245.115] is alive and authoritative for domain emailkb.com
DNS server ns2.emailkb.com[64.169.245.115] is alive and authoritative for domain emailkb.com
  2 server(s) are alive

CheckDNS.NET checks if all NS have the same version
Master DNS defined by SOA (resultsdc01.resultsrehab.local) was not found among NS records.
All 2 your servers have the same zone version 2004031804

CheckDNS.NET is verifying if NS are alive
NS list mismatch: registration authority reports that domain is hosted on the following servers: 'ns1.emailkb.com; ns2.emailkb.com', but DNS server ns1.emailkb.com reports domain to be hosted on 'resultsdc01.resultsrehab.local; ns1.emailkb.com'. Please make sure that you configure the same DNS servers in registrar database and on your DNS

CheckDNS.NET tests mail-servers
Domain emailkb.com has only one mail-server
Answer from N/A: host mail01.emailkb.com not found.
Some of your MX do not work properly

Email works from some domains like Cox Email and Hotmail but no from Yahoo.com

Thank you for the assistance.

My clients site and email has been down for a few days now.
