The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Ok I have a few questions, but I will try to post them separately for you guys.

Here is the current network layout.

Server 1 - Compaq Proliant 350 - Win 2000 SP 4 Pentium III, 933Mhz processor, 650MB of RAM Drive C 4Gb - 1Gb free Drive I 14Gb - 7Gb free Drive J 16Gb - 6Gb free Drive K 14Gb - 3Gb free Drive L 4Gb - 1Gb free
Roles: Domain controller, Exchange server, Maximizer database server(MSDE), Beam 2D server, Norton Antivirus server, Questica database, Intranet website, and file server

Server 3 - Compaq Proliant 370 - Win 2000 SP 4 Pentium III, 933Mhz processor, 1GB of RAM Drive C 10Gb - 6Gb free Drive I 60GB - 21Gb free
Roles: Domain contoller, AccPac database (Pervasive), and file server

Citrix - SuperMicro - Win 2000 SP3
Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz processor, 512MB of Ram Drive C 40Gb - 33Gb free
Role: Member server, Citrix server

Exposed server - SuperMicro - Win 2000 SP3
Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz processor, 512MB of Ram Drive C 40Gb - 33Gb free
Role: Exposed internet services – gateway SMTP, staging server for live website, Arial Campaign software, SMTP/POP server for outside companies

I want to put in a new server with SBS 2003, and demote Server 1 and Server 3 from domain controllers to member servers and keep them for now.  I am not going to migrate Exchange just yet.  I just want the users to use the new server as the domain server to login to for now.  Is there a very basic way to do it so that all current applications will continue to work, internet access still works, and so on?

How can I tell how our internet is setup here?  How can I tell which server or router is DHCP?

Thanks
