Browse All TopicsI need to secure a large number of files (several tens of thousands of files) and would like to use EFS. All of the files need to be accessible to multiple users. From my research I have come to the following conclusions: (1) EFS does not allow you to assign transparent EFS users at the folder level, (2) EFS does not allow you to assign groups as transparent users, (3) via the GUI, EFS does not allow you to assign transparent users to more then one file at a time.
These restrictions appear to make EFS to unweidly to use for large numbers of files with multiple users. Therefore my questions are as follows: (1) Is my research correct? (2) If so is there any way to modify the list of EFS transparent users for mutiple files en masse?
Thanks in advance for your help.

1. AFAIK you can't assign users to the folders unless they are encrypted as well. It needs to be on the files themselves.
2. I think you'll need to do a script for this one.
