network issue

installed new 2003 sbs along with 5 new machines. for small company that had no prior network. installed and setup all machines first. company was just useing router and dsl connection for internet and useing workgroup for network. sbs machine came with two nics. set machine up to use 1 nic directly from dsl modem and inabled dhcp on server. set second nic up for network useing sbs default settings. just wanted it to be simple. ha ha. any way. it looks like this  dsl modem, sbs nic 1. sbs nic2, then router. now useing this method  how does the router get its ip and dns and so on to provide info for the machines.Start Free Trial
