SCSI drivers for aic-7899 with fujitsu drive when installing windows server 2003

Hi all!

I have some problems installing windows server 2003 on a DELL poweredge 1400sc using a non bootable CD. Using a win 98 start disk I can get to the point where i start the install from the CD, but during the "copy files to the hard drive" it seemes like the connection to the hard drive is lost. I have a AIC-7899 SCSI controller with a fujitsu SCSI drive attached.

Ideas anyone?

You can press F6 to install third party driver when it asks you to press F6.

Do u have CD or floppy with you for the SCSI controller (I mean to say Driver).

Nope, no driver. I've been looking for an apropriate driver but haven't found one yet.

Found one (I believe) on driverguide.com but going through the "F6-put in floppy-press s to load new driver" still ends up with the installation hanging during file copy to the hard drive.........Strange..........

It might be the CD thats bad. I'll try another CD to see what happens. It will be a week before I can try though because I'm going for a short holiday. :-)

Sorry for being out of touch. I totally forgot posting here at EE. This isn't like me. All I can wave for my defense is that it's been unusually hectic this spring. Again, sorry!

As I suspected it was the CD that was bad. Trying with a new CD made the problem dissapear. :-)
