Published applications does not appear under add/remove programs on the computers in the network

I have a rather new windows 2003 server domain and I am starting to use published applications to deploy software to users. I have published one application in the default group policy for the domain and given domain users read access to the published application. But the application does not appear on computers in the network (running xp and windows 2000) under add program - instead it says "no programs available on the network". Are there any special services that need to be running on the server for this to work or what could else be wrong ? I have also tryed to assign an application and that works fine.

Depending on how you published this it will either be:

1)  Seen in Add/Remove Programs
2)  Be in the Users Start>Programs area and install on first use.
3)  Install when a default extension for the program is double-clicked.

Thank you Mikeleebrla,

The results showed that the client machine needed restart  before the programs are visible under add/remove
glad you got it working,,,  in the future you can run gpupdate on xp boxes to refresh the GPOs
