Done. And that would seem to be the simple answer I was looking for. We'll see if it works. It hasn't yet, but I'm assuming replication might have to complete before seeing that change. I'll let you know.

Browse All TopicsThis has been a minor issue for a while, but I cannot find an answer to it ( or maybe I just don't know how to ask the question). I had to forcibly remove some ghost domains using ntdsutil well over a year ago in order to successfully upgrade my 2000 domain to a 2003 domain. After doing so, I have noticed that all the old ghost domains are still showing up on the workstations under "log on to" in the logon screen. All traces of these domains have been deleted from DNS, WINS, and Active Directory (using ntdsutil), but they are still showing up as logon options.
There has to be an easy answer to this and I'm just spacing. How do I rid my workstations of these phantom domains that have LONG since been gone?
Thanks in adavance!
James

Start Active Directory Domains and Trusts, right-click your domain, open the properties, and go to the "Trusts" tab. Delete any trusts to domains that don't exist anymore.
