I boot from the cd, then during the installation it prompts me to select a partition. I deleted the current C: partition, then i created a new partition with the free space. But it auto assigns "C:" to the new partition without me being able to choose. How can i assign a different drive letter to the system/boot partition? Thanks in advance

-If you tried to apply these steps in reverse I think you can do it,
but first test a server boot diskette so you can modify the boot.ini on.
