Cannot Change Permissions

Asked by jonyelton in Windows 2003 Server

Tags: cannot, change, 2003, permissions, windows

I have a folder on my 2003 server that contains various things (like rtf docs), which I copied from another server.  This folder and all subfolders and files all have read-only attributes making them unusable.  I have gone to the top folder, and told it to remove read-only attributes on all files and subfolders, and it runs through a little process dialog box showing me it's doing its job.  But when I check the files again, they are still read-only!  I have tried everything, I have ownership of files, I have tried from command window.  My clients that are using this folder from workstations get access denied if they try to write to the folder, or make changes.  Please help.Start Free Trial
